Twist Pop-up Store

by lexiebarnes on November 28, 2009

One of my favorite projects is Twist – the indie craft and art fair my husband Cory and I produce in Northampton, MA.

We do the show twice a year – in May and November.  We just wrapped up this year’s holiday show: Twist III.   This time around,  we got a terrific suggestion from some friends, which let to an amazing opportunity to help the show grow…

Thornes Marketplace, the local shopping mecca in Northampton, MA had a vacant retail space and they were willing to let us set up a “pop-up” store through the holidays.

We jumped at the chance to offer our vendors a choice outlet like Thornes.  We inked the deal, prepped the space, and moved in — all in two weeks!

Check out the transformation…

So if you loved the show — or if you missed it! — stop on by the Twist Store in downtown Northampton for some super shopping for unique handmade wares. You can read a little more about the store here.

That looks like the old shoe store down on the lower level near the market and acme..though it also looks like the old bead store space too :)

It’s been so long since I’ve been in Thornes! (almost 10 years?) The store front looks great!!!!

Indeed, it was once the bead store. Long gone, I’m afraid. But now we have WEBS’ bead store… http://www.websbeads.com/

Be sure to shop for your beads there when you are in town to shop the Twist Store and WEBS http://www.yarn.com
