Mudluscious

I’ve been on a home improvement tear since the end of ‘09. In part because our house is old (built in 1809) and always in need of some kind of repair, in part because it’s winter in New England, which means more layers, more gear, and more time in the house, and in part because I’m in the end zone of my new home decor book, so I’m feeling inspired!

The mudroom has been a source of frustration for me.  It’s also our laundry room, which I originally thought was a great idea.  But the staggering amount of laundry that is generated by a busy family of six, combined with all of the winter stuff we all need to keep active and enjoy the season, and topped off with a need for some kind of household storage had proved to be a great challenge.

Here’s what I’m up against:

Clean or Dirty, you tell me!

Clean or Dirty, you tell me!

Whose stuff is this??

Whose stuff is this??

So far, I’ve found some of these ideas to add to my inspiration board… let me know what you think!

If only mine had this much sunlight!

Looks like I have my work cut out for me!  I’m glad it’s Sunday.  Good day to work on the house.  And so I’m off in search of creative solutions to my mudroom dilemma. Got answers?  Share them, please!

ciao,
